Mold making and injection molding in Ontario
Bridge North has built plastic injection molds since 1995. We design, build and run our tooling in house, from first shots through production runs.

Mold services
The people who cut your mold are the people who run it.
From design consultation to finished tool, every step happens on our floor in Cavan Monaghan.
- Multi-cavity and multi-plate production molds
- MUD (master unit die) inserts for lower-cost tooling
- Aluminum prototype and short-run tools (SPI Class 104/105)
- CNC, wire EDM and sinker EDM for tier one tool work
- Fill and volume calculations before steel is cut
- Design consultation from the earliest stage

Injection molding
One floor from first shot to production.
Because we build the tool, we can tune it fast when a first article needs a change.
- Development and first-article runs
- Low and high volume production
- Material selection matched to strength, weight and environment
- Testing and assembly in house
- Backed by a light manufacturing and assembly network in Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East

FAQ
Common questions
What do the SPI mold classes mean?
The SPI classes describe how many cycles a mold is built to last. Class 101 tools are built for a million cycles or more in hardened steel. Class 104 and 105 tools are lower-cost aluminum or soft tools for limited runs and prototypes.
What is a MUD insert?
MUD stands for master unit die: a standard frame that stays in the press while interchangeable cavity inserts are swapped in. Only the insert is custom, which reduces tooling cost and changeover time.
What do you need to quote a mold?
A 3D part file, the resin, expected annual volume, cosmetic and tolerance requirements, and any known gating or ejection constraints. If you are missing some of this, send what you have and we will fill the gaps together.
What volumes do you mold?
From development and first-article runs through low and high volume production.
Can you help choose a resin?
Yes. We match the resin to the part’s strength, weight, temperature and chemical exposure requirements, and can prototype in candidate materials before committing to production tooling.
